Photo Tips About Colored Photo Filters Which Will Take Your Landscape Photography To The Following Level!
Today's photo suggestions are about colored photo filters that you need to have in your camera bag at all times. And the best way to prevent losing them! Adding coloured photo filters to your shooting armory is a simple solution to get drastically better landscape photography!
Photo suggestion #1 - Exactly what is a great way to put away your photo filters so that they are easily obtainable?
They take up a lot of room in your camera bag if you keep them within their original packaging. Room that could be better put to use for extra batteries, memory sticks (film?) And so forth. Plus, with them all jammed into a side pocket, you can not really tell what the filter is unless you take them all out.
That's not much of an issue until the day you forget to put them back. It might cost you quite a lot of money - and save the next photographer that shoots from that place a bundle.

Here's what you do... purchase a zip shut CD/DVD case. Connect it to your camera bag, and you won't ever lose it.
The filters will fit in the plastic CD/DVD slots and by just flipping through the pages, you may see the filters and pick out the one you need to use! My case has been storing my filters for a long time and is made by Case Logic. Camera cases are made by them also should you need one.
Photo Tip #2 - Coloured Filters. Purchase them and do not buy them.
The very next instance you're viewing television - or go to the movies, detect the colours on the monitor. Especially pay attention to when the scene is designed to represent morning or dusk. Frequently, coloured filters are not natural and added the colours you see.
The filter effect is never noticed by you if done properly; as being shot at that time of day you only accept the scene.
Occasionally, the manager lets the coloured filters become clear and not seamlessly blend in and may desire something more edgy.
As I write this, there is a show on television called 'CSI - Miami!' If you need to view a clear use of colored filters, take a look at that one. In my opinion they use them in fact, and it detracts from the show.

But then again, they are making the big bucks and I am not, so my view is most likely incorrect.
Like that's readily accomplished with a couple of clicks in Photoshop, in our photography, a general color wash.
Plus, you've got more control over the amount of colour saturation and so on... so I advise you to save your money and not buy solid color filters.
What I advocate is the fact that you get a few of the most popular split filters. At least get some tobacco ones and some pink ones. You can later determine on densities and other shades.
A split filter is one that is clear at the bottom and coloured in the top. The dividing line could be a gradual fade, or sharp. (I recommend a slow fade.)
This is used to color the sky without changing the ground. The effect is more natural looking than a solid color wash - while at exactly the same time it's more difficult and time consuming to repeat in Photoshop. Especially with a gradual fade.
It is worth spending a few bucks and having them in your toolbox.
Adding coloured photo filters to your shooting will take your landscape photography to a brand-new amount and give it that 'WOW' factor. This photo tip can set you apart from the group and help you start winning photo contests.
