Landscapes Photography - Before Making Any Getaway
I actually don't think there is any other photography subject that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To take landscape images that are really great you need to be up before the rooster as well as dwelling after the nightingale goes to sleep. Sometimes you need to walk all day and it's also often too cold or too hot. In the light of this, I reckon that your comfort is as important as technique and your photographic eye.
You can't - or at least I can not - take great picture if you're cold, hot, or drained. I can't walk if I 'm fed up with having a sunburnt neck or if my feet are raw. There are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible, even though you can not control the weather. You will be free to shoot masterpieces once all your personal needs have been cared for. The following list includes some of the points that I think are vital for practically any landscape photography excursion:

Wear a top that's a collar.
Consistently carry a hat: these are vital in both cold and hot climates.
Wear great hiking boots that are waterproof with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a water bottle that is full.
If it's bright don't' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in case you get lost and you also have to find your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful if you need to keep warm, and it folds down to a size that is tiny.
Take a cell phone battery full charge, in the event of emergency.
In case you are driving remember to landmark your car: park it near a vast tree or rock, for example - it's simpler to get lost than you may think.
A compass will help too (but do not leave it in the auto!)
