Landscapes Digital Photography - Prior To Making Any Trip
I do not think there's any other photography topic that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To take landscape pictures that are really great you must be up before the rooster and dwelling following the nightingale goes to sleep. Sometimes you have to walk and it's frequently too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon that your comfort is as significant as your photographic eye and technique.
You can not - or at least I can't - if you're weary, hot, or cold, take great picture. I can not walk if my feet are sore or if I am fed up with having a sunburnt neck. There are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible, even though you can not control the weather. Once your personal needs have all been cared for, you will be free to shoot masterpieces. This list contains some of the points that I think are essential for practically any landscape photography trip:

Put on a shirt that's a collar.
Always take a hat: these are vital in both hot and cold climates.
Wear good hiking boots that are waterproof with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a water bottle that is complete.
When it's bright don't' forget your sunblock.
Require a torch in the event you get lost and you have to locate your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful if you have to keep warm, and it folds down to a size that is rather small.
Take a mobile phone battery full charge, in the event of crisis.
In case you are driving remember to watershed your car: park it near a huge tree or rock, for example - it's easier to get lost than you may believe.
A compass will help too (but don't leave it in the car!)
