Landscapes Digital Photography - In Advance Of Making Any Holiday
I really don't think there's any other photography topic that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To take extremely great landscape images following the nightingale goes to sleep you must be up before the rooster as well as home. Sometimes you need to walk and it's also generally too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon your comfort is as important as your photographic eye and technique.
You can not - or at least I can not - take great picture if you're tired, hot, or cold. I can't walk if my feet are raw or if I 'm fed up with having a sunburnt neck. There are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible, although you can't control the weather. Once all your personal needs have been cared for, you will be free to shoot at masterpieces. The following list contains a number of the points that I believe are vital for any landscape photography trip:

Put on a top that has a collar.
Always take a hat: these are essential in both hot and cold climates.
Wear good hiking boots that are waterproof with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a water bottle that is complete.
When it's sunny don't' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in the event you get lost and you also must find your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful in the event you need to keep warm, and it folds down to a size that is very small.
Take a cell phone battery full charge, in the event of crisis.
If you are driving recall to milestone your car: park it near a huge tree or stone, for example - it is simpler to get lost than you may believe.
A compass will help also (but do not leave it in the auto!)
