Landscapes Digital Photography - Just Before Any Getaway
I don't think there's any other photography topic that rewards effort as much as landscape does. To shoot really good landscape pictures following the nightingale goes to sleep, you have to be up before the rooster and dwelling. Sometimes you need to walk all day and it is frequently too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon that your comfort is as important as your photographic eye and technique.
You can not - or at least I can not - take good picture if you are cold, hot, or weary. I can not walk if my feet are sore or if I 'm fed up with having a sunburnt neck. There are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible, even though you can not control the weather. You will be free to shoot masterpieces once your personal needs have all been cared for. The following list contains a number of the points whom I believe are essential for practically any landscape photography trip:

Wear a shirt that's a collar.
Always bring a hat: these are essential in both cold and hot climates.
Wear good hiking boots that are waterproof with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a water bottle that is complete.
If it's bright do not' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in the event you get lost and you also have to locate your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful in the event you have to stay warm, and it folds down to a rather small size.
Take a cell phone in the event of crisis, battery full charge.
If you're driving remember to landmark your car: park it near a huge tree or stone, for example - it is easier to get lost than you might think.
A compass will help too (however do not leave it in the car!)
