Landscapes Images - Prior To Any Travel
I really don't think there is any other photography theme that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To take landscape images that are extremely great after the nightingale goes to sleep you have to be up before the rooster and house. There are times that you have to walk and it's frequently too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon that your comfort is as significant as your photographic eye and technique.
You can't - or at least I can't - if you're exhausted, hot, or cold, take good picture. I can not walk if my feet are sore or if I am fed up with having a sunburnt neck. Although the weather can't be controlled by you, there are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible. You will be free to shoot masterpieces once all your personal needs have been cared for. This list features some of the points that I believe are vital for practically any landscape photography trip:

Wear a top that's a collar.
Consistently take a hat: these are vital in both hot and cold climates.
Wear good hiking boots that are waterproof with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a water bottle that is full.
If it's sunny don't' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in case you get lost and you also have to seek out your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful in the event you have to stay warm, and it folds down to a tiny size.
Take a mobile phone in case of emergency, battery full charge.
If you are driving remember to milestone your car: park it near a huge tree or rock, for example - it's easier to get lost than you may think.
A compass will help also (however don't leave it in the car!)
