Photo Tips About Colored Photo Filters That Will Take Your Landscape Photography To The Next Level!
Today's photo tips are about colored photo filters that you need to have in your camera bag at all times. And the best way to prevent losing them! Adding coloured photo filters to your shooting toolbox is a simple way to get dramatically better landscape photography!
Photo tip #1 - Just what is a good way to store your photo filters in order that they are readily available?
They take up lots of room in your camera bag, should you maintain them in their original packaging. Room which could be better put to use for extra batteries, memory sticks (film?) and so on. Plus, with them all jammed into a side pocket, you can't actually tell what the filter is unless you take them all out.
That is not much of a problem until the day you forget to put them back. It may cost you quite a great deal of money - and save the following photographer that shoots from that location a package.

Here's what you do... buy a zip close CD/DVD case. Join it to your camera bag, and you'll never lose it.
The filters will fit in the plastic CD/DVD slots and by just flipping through the pages, you pick the one you need to use out and can see the filters! My case has been storing my filters for a long time and is made by Case Logic. Camera cases are made by them also in the event that you need one.
Photo Tip #2 - Coloured Filters. Purchase them and do not buy them.
The very next instance you're viewing television - or visit the movies, discover the colours on the monitor. Particularly pay attention to when the scene is designed to depict twilight or morning. Frequently, colored filters aren't natural and inserted the colors you see.
You can't see the filter effect, if done correctly; as being shot at that time of day you merely accept the scene.
Sometimes, the director lets not and the colored filters become evident blend in and may want something more edgy.
As I write this, there's a show on television called 'CSI - Miami!' Take a look at that one if you want to see a blatant use of coloured filters. In fact they use them too much, in my opinion, also it detracts from the show.

However on the other hand, they're making the big bucks and I am not, so my view is probably erroneous.
Like that is easily accomplished with one or two clicks in Photoshop, in our photography, an overall color wash.
Plus, you have more control over the amount of colour saturation and so on... so I advise you to save your money , not buy solid color filters.
What I DO recommend is that you get a few of typically the most popular split filters. At least get some tobacco ones and some pink ones. You can later determine on other shades as well as densities.
A split filter is one that is certainly coloured at the top and clear in the bottom. The dividing line could be a gradual fade, or sharp. (I recommend a slow fade.)
This really is used to color the sky without changing the ground. The effect is more natural looking than a solid color wash - while at exactly the same time it's more difficult and time consuming to repeat in Photoshop. Particularly with a gradual fade.
It's worth having them in your toolbox and spending a couple of bucks.
Adding coloured photo filters to your shooting will take your landscape photography to a brand-new level and give it that 'WOW' factor. This photo suggestion help you start winning photo competitions and can set you besides the gang.
