Landscapes Photography - Before Making Any Holiday
I actually don't believe there is any other photography subject that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To shoot extremely great landscape images after the nightingale goes to sleep, you must be up before the rooster as well as dwelling. There are times that you need to walk all day and it's generally too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon your comfort is as significant as your photographic eye and technique.
You can not - or at least I can not - if you are drained, hot, or cold, take good picture. I can not walk if my feet are raw or if I 'm fed up with having a sunburnt neck. Even though you can not control the weather, there are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible. Once your personal needs have all been cared for, you will be free to shoot masterpieces. This list comprises a number of the points whom I think are crucial for any landscape photography trip:

Put on a shirt that has a collar.
Always take a hat: these are crucial in both cold and hot climates.
Wear good waterproof hiking boots with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a full water bottle.
When it's bright don't' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in case you get lost and you must locate your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful should you have to keep warm, and it folds down to a size that is rather small.
Take a cell phone in case of emergency, battery full charge.
If you're driving remember to milestone your car: park it near a vast tree or stone, for example - it's more easy to get lost than you may believe.
A compass will help too (however don't leave it in the auto!)
