Landscapes Photography - Just Before Any Travel
I really don't think there's any other photography subject that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To shoot landscape images that are really great you must be up before the rooster and home following the nightingale goes to sleep. Sometimes you have to walk and it's often too hot or too cold. In the light of this, I reckon your comfort is as important as technique and your photographic eye.
You can not - or at least I can't - take good picture if you are hot, cold, or weary. I can't walk if my feet are sore or if I 'm fed up with having a sunburnt neck. Although you can not control the weather, there are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible. Once all your personal needs are cared for, you will be free to shoot at masterpieces. The following list comprises a number of the points whom I believe are crucial for practically any landscape photography trip:

Put on a top that's a collar.
Always carry a hat: these are vital in both hot and cold climates.
Wear good waterproof hiking boots with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a complete water bottle.
If it's bright do not' forget your sunblock.
Take a torch in case you get lost and you also must locate your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful in case you have to keep warm, and it folds down to a size that is rather small.
Take a cell phone in the event of emergency, battery full charge.
In case you are driving remember to milestone your car: park it near a huge tree or stone, for example - it is more easy to get lost than you may believe.
A compass will help also (however don't leave it in the car!)
