Landscapes Pictures - Before Making Any Getaway
I don't think there is any other photography theme that rewards attempt as much as landscape does. To shoot really great landscape graphics after the nightingale goes to sleep you need to be up before the rooster as well as house. Sometimes you need to walk and it's also often too cold or too hot. In the light of this, I reckon that your comfort is as important as technique and your photographic eye.
You can't - or at least I can't - take great picture if you're hot, cold, or tired. I can't walk if I am fed up with having a sunburnt neck or if my feet are sore. There are some basic steps you can take to ensure your comfort level is as high as possible although you can't control the weather. You will be free to shoot masterpieces once all your personal needs are cared for. The following list comprises a number of the points that I believe are essential for any landscape photography trip:

Put on a shirt that's a collar.
Always carry a hat: these are vital in both hot and cold climates.
Wear great waterproof hiking boots with thick socks.
Take energy bars to eat.
Carry a complete water bottle.
If it's bright don't' forget your sunblock.
Require a torch in case you get lost and you have to find your way in the dark.
A space blanket is useful should you have to stay warm, and it folds down to a rather small size.
Take a cell phone in case of emergency, battery full charge.
If you're driving recall to landmark your car: park it near a vast tree or rock, for example - it is more easy to get lost than you may think.
A compass will help also (however do not leave it in the car!)
